What is Telemy

Telemy is an OBS Studio plugin that collects stream telemetry (encoder stats, connection quality, system metrics) and relays it to a control plane for real-time monitoring. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data we collect

• Account information — email address and display name provided at signup.
• OAuth tokens — if you link Twitch, Google, or Discord accounts, we store OAuth tokens to enable those integrations. Tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM at rest.
• Stream telemetry — encoder stats, output bitrate, connection quality, CPU/GPU usage, and relay performance metrics collected while OBS is running with the plugin active.
• Relay usage — connection timestamps, data transferred, and relay slot assignments.
• Billing information — managed entirely by LemonSqueezy as merchant of record. We store your subscription status and LemonSqueezy customer ID but never see your payment details.

How we use your data

We use your data to operate the service: authenticate you, display real-time telemetry, provision relay connections, and manage your subscription. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Third parties

• LemonSqueezy — billing and subscription management (merchant of record).
• Cloudflare — website hosting, CDN, and DNS.
• Twitch, Google, Discord — OAuth authentication when you choose to link these accounts.

Data storage and security

Account and telemetry data is stored in PostgreSQL on our VPS infrastructure. The OBS plugin stores local configuration using Windows DPAPI encryption. OAuth tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before database storage. All API communication uses HTTPS.

Cookies and local storage

• telemy_session — HttpOnly authentication cookie. Essential for login.
• telemy_uid — authentication binding cookie.
• telemy-theme — localStorage preference for light/dark theme.

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or ad network scripts.

Your rights

You can request account deletion or a data export at any time by contacting support@telemyapp.com. Account deletion removes your account data, telemetry history, and linked OAuth tokens.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Significant changes will be communicated via the email on your account.
